Public Holiday Calendar 2027: Holiday Dates Now Published for 191 Countries

In short: The 2027 release adds 191 country-year pages — 3,115 dated holiday entries in total — to a dataset that now spans 2025, 2026 and 2027 across 192 countries.

4 October 2026 — PublicHolidayCalendar.com today published complete public holiday calendars for 2027, covering 191 countries and territories. The release adds 191 country-year pages containing 3,115 dated holiday entries, an average of 16.3 entries per country, and is available immediately and free of charge.

The 2027 lists join an existing archive of 2025 and 2026 calendars. The site now maintains 575 country-year pages plus 192 country hub pages — 767 core pages in total.

What is in the 2027 release

Each 2027 country page lists, in date order, the public holidays observed in that jurisdiction for that year: the exact date, the holiday name, and where applicable the substitute or observed date that applies when a holiday falls on a weekend.

  • 191 countries and territories with 2027 calendars
  • 3,115 dated holiday entries, averaging 16.3 per country
  • Country hub pages for all 192 countries, each linking its 2025, 2026 and 2027 calendars
  • Regional navigation by continent, plus a country finder covering all 192 entries
  • School holiday tables for 17 countries, covering 2026 and 2027, with a source link on every row

The longest continuous breaks in the 2027 dataset come from jurisdictions that cluster holidays around a single anchor date. Russia’s New Year period runs 10 consecutive days; China’s Spring Festival and National Day periods each produce 7 consecutive days off; Vietnam and Taiwan each show a 7-day break. See the Russia 2027 calendar and the China 2027 calendar.

How the dates are sourced — and what we do not publish

The project’s data policy is deliberately narrow: dates are taken from official national sources, and anything that cannot be sourced from an official channel is left blank rather than estimated. Rows that have not been confirmed against a primary official page are labelled Unconfirmed on the page rather than quietly presented as fact.

This is why a small number of countries show an honest callout instead of a table. Publishing a plausible-looking guess would be worse than publishing nothing, particularly for a dataset that payroll teams and travellers rely on.

Most holiday websites will always give you a date. The harder discipline is refusing to publish one you cannot stand behind. Every country where we could not reach an official source says so on the page.

Who this is for

  • Global HR and payroll teams, who need to know which days are non-working in each jurisdiction before scheduling payroll runs, deadlines and leave policies.
  • Travellers, aviation and hospitality planners, for whom a public holiday changes prices, opening hours and crowd levels more than almost any other variable.
  • Publishers and researchers, who need a source they can cite. Every dated entry is tied to a country page with a stable URL.

What comes next

  1. Regional and observance entries. A small number of country lists — most notably Canada and Australia — still mix national holidays with provincial or state holidays and with general observances. These are being separated so that each country has one defensible national count.
  2. Older year pages. Some 2026 pages carry more rows than the jurisdiction actually observes. These are being de-duplicated country by country.

Both issues are being fixed in the open rather than hidden, because a holiday dataset is only useful if the reader can trust the parts they cannot check themselves.

Availability: All 2027 calendars are live now. Start from the country finder, browse by Asia or Europe, or open any country hub such as Japan.
