Every Canada long weekend in 2027
This 2027 long weekend calendar lists five blocks of three consecutive days off, all exactly three days long. We count each continuous run once, and only when it falls inside 2027 — a break that straddles New Year’s Eve is not counted. No national holiday lands in February, April, June, August or November, so those months hold no free break.

Canada public holidays 2027: three dates with no free weekend
Canada Day falls on Thursday 1 July, so Friday 2 July stands between the holiday and the weekend. The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation lands on Thursday 30 September, with Friday 1 October as its bridge. Christmas Day is a Saturday, and 2027 grants no substitute day, so only the Sunday sits beside it.

Why Canadian statutory holidays vary by province
Canada has no single nationwide holiday list. The federal Government of Canada sets one list for federally regulated employers such as banks, airlines and broadcasters, while each province and territory sets its own for everyone else. Two workers in the same city can therefore have different paid days off.

Two federal general holidays sit outside that count: Remembrance Day, 11 November 2027, and Boxing Day, 26 December 2027, each statutory in some provinces and not others.
How to plan leave around Canada’s 2027 holidays
Start with the five free long weekends, which cost no leave at all. Then spend leave where it converts best: Friday 2 July beside Canada Day, or Friday 1 October beside the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Either turns a Thursday holiday into a four-day run from Thursday to Sunday.
The Christmas week is the year’s weakest for spontaneous travel. Christmas Day is a Saturday and Boxing Day a Sunday, so many workplaces will close between them and New Year, and provincial rules decide who is paid for which day.
